Ex-Man United gem reacts as Oscar Bobb exit update emerges at Man City

Oscar Bobb is unlikely to be wearing a Man City shirt for the second half of the 2025-26 campaign once the January transfer window shuts.

Supporters were adamant that Pep Guardiola had fallen out with Bobb earlier in the season, with the player left out of the squad to face Fulham back in December.

The 22-year-old winger is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem after limping off against Brentford in the Carabao Cup, but he is still attracting interest from around the Premier League.

Football Insider understood earlier this month that Borussia Dortmund were leading the race for Bobb’s signature, but according to Fabrizio Romano, that no longer appears to be the case.

Man City have been concerned by Bobb’s downfall, but it seems that Marco Silva‘s Fulham are ready to take a punt on the talented attacker.

Fulham steam into the lead to sign Oscar Bobb

Taking to Instagram (20 January), Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Exclusive: Oscar Bobb to leave Man City in January with Fulham official bid. Fulham submit proposal worth £35m to sign Bobb on a permanent deal.

“They are waiting for the final decision very soon. Borussia Dortmund remain keen since December, set for a decision whether to proceed with a bid or not.”

The transfer specialist also explained that it is 100 per cent certain that the winger will leave the Etihad before the transfer window slams shut, with the news earning a like from Charlie McNeill.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is not plying his trade for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship, but made an early name for himself in the Man United academy, where he joined from Man City.

Which other Man City players are linked with exits?

Tottenham remain interested in Omar Marmoush, but the Egyptian forward wants to stay at the Etihad Stadium, Football Insider understands, after returning from AFCON.

Mateo Kovacic is also linked with a move across the Premier League, and so too are Savinho, James Trafford, Stefan Ortega, and Kalvin Phillips.

Guardiola needs to make key changes if the Citizens are to pip Arsenal to the Premier League title, with Champions League glory also on the cards, despite the team struggling to find form.

The arrival of Marc Guehi should certainly help paper over the cracks in the centre of defence, especially after the injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol.

This comes after a superb deal for Antoine Semenyo, who has already made a huge splash at the Etihad, notching two goals and an assist in his opening three appearances.

Guardiola’s likely to be done spending this month, but there could be multiple outgoings before the January transfer window slams shut.
