Forward who stormed 2016-17 season next most likely player to join Rangers – Football Whispers

Winger Jamie Walker is the most likely to be the next Rangers signing in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
Sky Sports’ transfer section regularly plugs its Football Whispers section, which claimed on Thursday afternoon that the Scotland international, 24, is the likeliest Ibrox arrival over the next month.
Rangers have already massively revamped their squad this summer, with nine new players already signed, most of them from overseas.
It has been reported in recent weeks that Rangers are pushing hard to sign wide forward Walker from their Scottish Premiership rivals.
Pedro Caixinha’s side have reportedly tabled multiple bids up to £600,000 for Walker, whose contract expires next summer, but Hearts are holding out for their £1million valuation to be met.
Football Whispers, which gathers all transfer rumours across the globe and calculates the likelihood of them happening, rates it 2.2 out of 5 that Walker will join Rangers, with five the highest possible ranking and meaning it is a certainty.
The attacker is ahead in the ratings of Aberdeen central midfielder Kenny McLean, who has a rating of 2.1, and young Manchester United central midfielder Matthew Willock, who is rated at 2.0 to transfer to Ibrox this summer.
Walker had an outstanding 2016-17 season, scoring 15 goals and supplying seven assists from 43 matches in all competitions.

After the huge influx of foreign imports, it is clear Caixinha is now focusing on signing proven Scottish Premiership performers. About time, too. There is a real hit-or-miss feel about Rangers’ summer shopping and they need to land a few more players who have showed they can deliver in the top flight. Walker and McLean will be able to hit the ground running in a way most of the signings to date will struggle to match. Push those deals over the line, and the club are on the right track.
