Exclusive: Alejandro Garnacho’s training ground response to Man United talk revealed
Alejandro Garnacho has responded positively on the training ground at Man United following transfer interest from Chelsea and Napoli, sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old had looked certain to move on from Old Trafford at the start of the January window after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim.
However, sources say Garnacho has “got his head down” at United as he continues to win back the trust of the Portuguese boss.
Chelsea‘s interest in the Argentina international fizzled out in the final week of the window, while Napoli could not get close to the Red Devils’ valuation of the academy star.
Any sale would have provided a huge boost to United’s accounts as he would have raked in pure profit under Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Question marks linger about his suitability to the system implemented by Amorim but Garnacho will get another chance to save his Old Trafford career in the second half of this season.
Garnacho responds positively after Man United exit threat
He was left out of the squad to face Man City in December with the United boss publicly questioning his application in training.
But the winger has since featured in every game for Amorim’s side and is now a regular starter once again.

Garnacho, who is under contract until June 2028, has hit eight goals and notched six assists in 36 games across all competitions this season.
