Exclusive: Aston Villa’s stance on shock Morgan Rogers transfer revealed
Aston Villa are confident of keeping Morgan Rogers this summer despite potential interest from Man City, sources have told Football Insider.
In recent days, City have been linked with a shock move to bring the 22-year-old back to the Etihad Stadium this summer after his impressive form for Villa.
However, it is believed Rogers would be hesitant to move back to his former club after struggling to make his first-team breakthrough with Pep Guardiola‘s side.
Sources say the three-cap England international is happy at Villa Park after signing a contract running until June 2030 late last year (2024).

The Midlands giants do not want to lose the attacking midfield star this summer and are hopeful of keeping him at the club.
Rogers has hit 13 goals and notched 11 assists across 44 games in all competitions this season for Emery’s side and has made his breakthrough for England.

He only joined Villa from Middlesbrough last January but is now a regular in the Premier League and Champions League.
The versatile attacker did not make a single senior appearance during his four-year spell with City and was shipped out on loans to Bournemouth, Blackpool and Lincoln before joining Boro permanently for just £1million.

Aston Villa given encouragement over Madueke deal
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (5 April) that Aston Villa have been given encouragement in their pursuit of Chelsea star Noni Madueke ahead of this summer.
Madueke is frustrated about his inconsistent playing time at Stamford Bridge and is believed to be open to a move which would see him play more regularly.
He has scored eight goals and notched eight assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.
