Exclusive: Beto exit: Everton transfer twist as two clubs make approaches
Como and Fiorentina have registered their interest in Everton striker Beto, sources have told Football Insider.
The Italian duo have joined the race to prise the 27-year-old from the Merseyside in this month’s window.
Beto’s future is up in the air as Everton look to sign a new striker who can add greater firepower to their attack.
Everton cannot bring in a replacement for Beto until they have an agreement in place for him to leave.

Beto struggles for goalscoring form
Beto has made 25 appearances for David Moyes’ side this season but only eight of them are Premier League starts, and he has scored only two goals.
David Moyes is believed to have given the green light for Beto to find a new club, with a move to Italy a possibility.
The striker moved to Merseyside in 2023, and has not become the answer to Everton’s goalscoring problems.
Everton had planned to replace Beto in January, with Thierno Barry having now become Moyes’ number one option up-front.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals in his last five games in all competitions, including the winner in Everton’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa last time out.
Moyes could do with Barry’s up-turn in form continuing, with Everton having only scored 24 goals in 22 Premier League games this season.

Everton compete with Aston Villa for striker
Everton are interested in signing Roma striker Tammy Abraham, but Aston Villa are currently the front-runners for the 28-year-old.
Abraham is currently on loan at Turkish club Besiktas, but Roma are willing to recall the striker and let him leave permanently in January.
After the departure of Donyell Malen, Aston Villa want to secure the signing of Abraham quickly before any rivals pounce.
Abraham has former Premier League experience with Chelsea, scoring 26 goals in 86 appearances.
