
Exclusive: Brighton open talks over £20m Stefanos Tzimas deal
Brighton have opened talks over a £20million deal to sign 1. FC Nürnberg striker Stefanos Tzimas, sources have told Football Insider.
The 19-year-old has impressed in the 2.Bundesliga this term on loan from parent club PAOK in Greece.
Tzimas has attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe but Brighton have now opened talks in a bid to win the race for his signature.
The teenager has hit nine goals and notched two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
He has started in 12 of those outings for second division Nurnberg, who are mid-table in 2.Bundesliga.
The Greek started the 2024-25 campaign as a substitute but has started each of the last 11 league matches.
His development is currently being overseen by legendary German striker Miroslav Klose, who is the manager at Nurnberg.
Brighton keen on Greek sensation Tzimas
Tzimas is only on loan with the club but they have the option to make his move from PAOK permanent for a set fee.
The teenager won the Greek Super League with his boyhood club last season and is their youngest-ever goalscorer after netting in a win over Ionikos a month after turning 17.

Brighton currently have the likes of Danny Welbeck, Evan Ferguson, Joao Pedro and Georginio Rutter to choose from in striking areas.
