
Exclusive: Celtic table improved Auston Trusty bid
Celtic have made an improved bid for Sheffield United star Auston Trusty, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (28 August) that the Glasgow giants have had a £5million bid rejected by the Blades.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have responded by upping their offer to £5.5million as they look to push the deal through before Friday’s (30 August) transfer deadline.
Trusty is just one of multiple late-window arrivals being worked on within the corridors of power at Parkhead.
He joined Sheffield United from Arsenal for a reported £5million last summer and Celtic are now offering the Yorkshire side the opportunity to make a profit despite their relegation from the Premier League.

He has made three appearances for the Blades so far in the new campaign, two of which have come as part of the starting lineup.
Sheffield United are under no real pressure to sell as the defender is under contract at Bramall Lane until June 2027.
The United States international made 34 appearances for Sheffield United last season as they finished rock bottom in the Premier League, with 30 of those outings coming as part of the starting lineup.
