Exclusive: Crystal Palace agree to sign Rylan Brownlie

Crystal Palace are set to sign Australian teenage sensation Rylan Brownlie on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.

Brownlie, 17, has been training with Palace recently after leaving Brisbane Roar in the summer.

The highly-rated forward has done enough during his training stint at Palace to be offered a deal by the Eagles and has agreed terms.

He came through the ranks in Brisbane and signed his first professional deal just last year, but left the A-League side in July 2024.

The teenager is now set to follow in the footsteps of his father, Royce, by playing in England.

Brownlie made 12 appearances in the A-League during the 2023-24 campaign, notching one goal and one assist.

He was just sixteen when he scored his first senior goal for Brisbane, becoming the club’s youngest-ever league scorer.
