Exclusive: Crystal Palace star Jeffrey Schlupp wanted by MLS club

Crystal Palace winger Jeffrey Schlupp is wanted by Major League Soccer outfit San Diego FC, sources have told Football Insider.

The 32-year-old is out of contract at Selhurst Park at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Schlupp, who has also attracted interest from clubs in England, has featured sparingly for Palace this term.

He has made 15 appearances across all competitions this term but is yet to make his first start for Oliver Glasner’s side.

The Ghana international has played just nine minutes in the Premier League since the start of December.

Premier League winner Schlupp joined Crystal Palace from Leicester in 2017 and has made 246 appearances in total for the Croydon club.

He has hit 19 goals and notched 15 assists for Palace.

The left-footed star has played in a variety of positions for the Eagles, including left-back, left wing, central midfield and centre-forward.

San Diego keen on Crystal Palace winger Schlupp

Schlupp extended his Palace deal last year (2024) but is now set to end his eight-year association with the club.

Glasner’s side sit 15th in the Premier League and are five points above the relegation zone.
