Exclusive: Graham Potter in advanced West Ham talks – could start tomorrow

Graham Potter is in advanced talks to become the new West Ham manager, sources have told Football Insider.

The 49-year-old is close to securing an agreement with the Irons following new talks on Thursday (5 December) – and could start as early as Friday.

It is believed Julen Lopetegui is now expected to be sacked in the next 24 hours.

Potter has been lined up for the role at the London Stadium in a sensational turnaround following West Ham’s 3-1 away loss at Leicester on Tuesday (3 December).

Football Insider exclusively revealed on Wednesday (4 December) that Graham Potter was emerging as the leading contender to take the hot seat.

West Ham’s travelling fans at Leicester turned on Lopetegui and the Spaniard is now set to be removed just four months into his London Stadium reign.

He has overseen just four wins in 14 Premier League games so far this term, while the Irons have also exited the League Cup.
