Exclusive: Harry Kane intervenes to block Liverpool and Man City transfers
Harry Kane is trying to persuade Marc Guehi to snub Liverpool and Man City in favour of joining Bayern Munich, sources have told Football Insider.
The England captain has intervened in a new twist to the Crystal Palace defender’s future.
City have been in pole position to sign Guehi, 25, this month but have yet to secure an agreement with the in-demand star, who nearly joined Liverpool last summer.
Liverpool remain keen on the centre-back but, like City, are reluctant to meet Palace’s £25million asking price this month.
It is believed that Kane is in regular contact with Guehi to persuade his England teammate to join him at the Bundesliga giants.

Man City and Liverpool could miss out on Marc Guehi
Football Insider revealed on 10 January that Crystal Palace could sell Guehi this month, but will only do so for the right price as he remains crucial to their plans.
As a result, both City and Liverpool could miss out in the mid-season window and be forced to compete with European rivals to secure his signature on a free.
Bayern remain leading candidates should his future be decided at the end of the season, where he could link up with Kane and former teammate Michael Olise.
Kane’s influence is expected to be key to Guehi’s decision, but a number of alternatives will be assessed and it remains possible he could leave this month.
Meanwhile, Mick Brown told Football Insider on 6 January that Real Madrid are interested in Guehi and could step up their interest to land him on a free.
Guehi’s stance on Crystal Palace exit in January revealed
Football Insider revealed on 11 January that Guehi is content to stay at Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season and will not rush into a decision.
Guardiola‘s side have considered stepping up their interest in the England international this month, despite Oliver Glasner being reluctant to lose his captain mid-season.

However, that interest is unlikely to turn the defender’s head, as he knows he will have numerous options in the summer which could also prove financially beneficial.
Football Insider revealed last month that Guehi will not push to leave Crystal Palace in January regardless of the level of interest in his signature.
Instead, he could decide to see out the season at Selhurst Park where he will play a huge role in any success the Eagles have, with the Conference League firmly in their sights.
