Exclusive: Host of European clubs chase West Ham sensation Emeka Adiele

West Ham teenage sensation Emeka Adiele is a target for a number of top clubs across Europe, sources have told Football Insider.

The 18-year-old, who has entered into the final six months of his contract, is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at West Ham, having come through the ranks at the club.

After signing his first pro deal in the summer of 2024, the left wing-back has caught the eye for the Hammers’ Under-21s this season, notching an impressive four goals and seven assists in 14 appearances.

His performances have even seen him nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for November.

The young gem has also won a handful of caps for England Under-18s, sending a message to those in East London, especially with a goal against Wolves and an assist against Liverpool in November.

Freddie Potts is the latest West Ham academy star to break through at the London Stadium, with 21-year-old George Earthy also being involved in the senior squad.

Fellow academy graduate Ollie Scarles remains on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury, and with Nuno Espirito Santo lacking options at left-back, fans could expect a call-up soon.

However, with the youngster moving into the final six months of his current deal, that chance might have disappeared, as multiple clubs circle for the wing-back’s signature.

The Hammers could be facing Divin Mubama repeat

Divin Mubama was one of the most exciting West Ham youngsters, at least he was before leaving on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

He then joined Man City‘s academy, making his debut for Pep Guardiola last season, and is now blowing up the Championship with Stoke City, notching five goals and one assist in 18 games.

While Mubama turned down a new contract in East London, it remains to be seen what Adiele’s future holds, but his head could be turned if multiple European clubs are keeping tabs.

Nuno has not been afraid of trusting youngsters at the London Stadium, but with the wing-back yet to make his first-team debut, it might be too late for the Irons now.
