Exclusive: Ipswich Town submit £30m double bid for West Ham-wanted duo
Ipswich Town have submitted a £30million-plus double bid for Hull City duo Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene, sources have told Football Insider.
This stunning double offer is in place as the newly-promoted side attempts to beat off their Premier League rivals to the in-demand players.
The Championship duo have caught the eye due to their impressive performances last season, and West Ham United are another club interested in both.
The Hammers have held preliminary talks over deals for Greaves and Philogene, but now face competition from the Tractor Boys as the two clubs, as well as top-tier rivals, will battle it out to try to land their signatures.
Football Insider previously revealed that West Ham were close to agreeing a deal for Greaves, but talks ended up stalling, providing an opening for Ipswich to swoop in.
Ipswich wants to secure two promising young stars
Newly promoted teams into the Premier League often look for players with experience in the division, but the Tractor Boys are taking a different approach with their interest in the Hull City duo.
Both men are under the age of 23 and would inject youth into Kieran McKenna’s side ahead of next season in the English top flight.
Philogene caught the eye of other clubs after thriving in the Championship last season, scoring 12 goals and creating six assists in 32 appearances.
Whereas Greaves has been an integral part of the Hull squad, having made 177 appearances for the club, despite being 23 years old.

The Tractor Boys have already been busy this summer as they bought Omari Hutchinson on a permanent deal from Chelsea for a club-record fee of £18million plus add-ons.
The tricky winger signed a five-year deal after impressing on loan at Portman Road last season, where he scored 10 goals and created six assists.
