Exclusive: Jack Wilshere close to agreeing Luton Town manager deal
Jack Wilshere is close to agreeing a deal to be Luton Town’s new manager, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Norwich City interim manager and Arsenal youth coach, 33, has held talks about a move to Kenilworth Road.
Sources say a full agreement is nearly in place as Luton prepare to appoint a replacement for Matt Bloomfield.
The League One club announced the departure of Bloomfield earlier this week and are now close to finalising a successor.

Wilshere catches Luton’s eye with impressive coaching record
Wilshere has undertaken a number of coaching roles at senior and youth level since retiring as a player in 2022 at the age of 30.
Sources told Football Insider in June that Wilshere was in the running to be the new Plymouth Argyle manager.
The ex-Arsenal wonderkid turned manager showed promising signs during his spells with the Gunners’ Under-18s team and at Norwich City.
In two games in charge at the back end of last season, he was undefeated as Canaries boss following the sacking of Johannes Thorup.

With the Gunners age-group side, Wilshere won 28 of his 60 matches at the helm, losing 19 times and maintaining a 46.7 per cent win rate.
Moreover, the former West Ham midfielder’s experience of working with younger players would greatly benefit the Hatters as they look to push their way back into the Championship.
The vision for why they would want to bring Wilshere to Kenilworth Road is evident by his ecnouraging statistics.
Wilshere could coax Aaron Morley to Luton
Sources told Football Insider on summer transfer deadline day that Bolton rejected Luton’s advances for Aaron Morley.

The 25-year-old has been quietly making a name for himself in League One following successful stints with Wycombe Wanderers on loan and at Bolton.
The midfielder remains with the Wanderers for the time being, but the managerial shake-up for the Hatters may catch his attention in January.
Wilshere is renowned for his ability to bring the best out of young talent and his presence could be enough to convince the Englishman of a change of scenery.
Both Bolton and Luton are both battling it out for play-off places in the third-tier of English football.
