Exclusive: Leeds prepare for new manager as Daniel Farke sack decision made

Daniel Farke has two games to escape the Leeds United sack, sources have told Football Insider.

Leeds’ owners are preparing for a change of manager if the German, 49, does not oversee an immediate upturn in results.

Sources say that Leeds are planning on dismissing their manager if the team does not get points against Man City away on Saturday, 29 November, and Chelsea at home next Wednesday (3 December).

United are believed to be exploring new manager options amid growing fan discord with the performances and results under Farke.

Multiple managers are in the race to replace Daniel Farke

Leeds fans thought Farke had already been sacked at Elland Road, only for the former Norwich City man to take the latest pre-match press conference ahead of facing Man City at the weekend.

It now appears that Carlos Corberan has moved ahead in the race for a Premier League return, though Marcelo Bielsa and Brendan Rodgers have both been linked with the move.

The manager came under heavy fire after throwing away a lead against Aston Villa last time out, with the Whites recording just one victory in their last seven Premier League games.

Elland Road was a fortress in the Championship last season, but with just two wins from six home games so far, supporters are becoming more and more frustrated by the situation.

Marcelo Bielsa could make a dramatic Elland Road return

Bielsa is in contention for a Leeds return, and while he remains manager of the Uruguay national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup, it has not been ruled out just yet.

The Whites have slipped into the relegation zone after losing against Villa, with fans believing it is only a matter of time before a change is made in the dugout.

However, with Liverpool, Brentford, Crystal Palace, and Sunderland awaiting after Man City and Chelsea, it is difficult to see where the points are coming from for Farke and his players.
