
Exclusive: Leyton Orient ready offer for Blackburn Rovers star Markanday
Leyton Orient are readying a loan offer for Blackburn Rovers winger Dilan Markanday, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Tottenham youngster has impressed on loan at Chesterfield in the first half of the season.
Orient have registered their interest in a deal for the 23-year-old and are now set to make a formal move to bring him to the club for the second half of the campaign.
The right winger has been a regular in the Chesterfield team this season, featuring 22 times in League Two.
Markanday has proven his attacking abilities by scoring seven goals and providing three assists in all competitions which has captured the attention of Leyton Orient.
The winger has featured for Blackburn previously, having made 35 appearances for his home club.

Markanday offers plenty of experience at this stage in his career, having made 182 appearances over the years.
The winger has scored 52 goals and provided 25 assists during that time, having featured in the Championship and League Two predominantly.
Richie Wellens is looking to add some firepower to his squad in January to help push Leyton Orient’s promotion campaign.

Wellens’ side currently sit eighth in League One, but they have struggled in the goal department compared to the teams above them.
Leyton Orient are the lowest-scoring team in the top eight currently, which Markanday could help change.
