Exclusive: Liverpool told £20m Leroy Sane bid could be accepted

Bayern Munich could accept offers of £20-25million for Man City target Leroy Sane if he does not sign a new deal, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old has entered the final six months of his contract in Bavaria and can now agree a pre-contract elsewhere.

However, the January window could present the last chance for Bayern to cash in on the winger if he does not extend his deal.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (6 January) that Man City are among a number of Premier League clubs monitoring Sane’s situation.

Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea are also believed to be in the race for his signature.

Bayern are keen to keep the winger as they fight for the Bundesliga title and Champions League under Vincent Kompany this term.

However, they could be tempted to sell Sane if he doesn’t renew and a suitable offer arrives before the 3 February deadline.

Pep Guardiola is keen to add attacking reinforcements to his struggling side as well as a replacement for Rodri, who is out for the season with a serious knee injury.

He scored 39 goals and registered 43 assists in 135 games during his time at the Etihad Stadium.
