QPR are in advanced talks to sign Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke after a breakthrough in talks, Football Insider can reveal.

The west London Championship club are in line to beat multiple second-tier outfits as well as Scottish big guns Celtic to land the 19-year-old winger.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that negotiations are close to being finalised for Clarke to make the short journey to QPR.

He is in line to make his debut for Mark Warburton’s side in their Championship clash against his former club Leeds United at Loftus Road on Saturday.

It will be a major coup for QPR to fend off interest in so many clubs for Clarke.

There has been extensive interest in the teenage attacker after Tottenham terminated his season-long loan at Leeds at the midway point.

Football Insider revealed earlier last week that QPR were among the three clubs leading the loan race for the winger, 19, along with Derby County and Millwall.

Middlesbrough, Fulham, Swansea City and Nottingham Forest have also keeping close tabs on the dazzling wide man while Celtic joined the race at the weekend.

Warburton has taken advantage of his strong connections at Tottenham to all but seal a deal for Clarke.

Spurs have made it plain in negotiations with his various suitors they are keen for him to head to a club where he can secure regular game time.

Despite being fully fit, he made just three appearances for Leeds in the opening half of the campaign, two of which came in the League Cup.

In other Tottenham news, it can be REVEALED that Levy is pulling out all the stops to seal another midfielder deal after initial offer rejected.
