
Exclusive: Man City could land £26m+ windfall
Manchester City could earn more than £26million in increased revenue by tapping into opportunities in the US market, sources have told Football Insider.
The CLV Group CEO Neil Joyce exclusively revealed to Football Insider Man City stand to gain the second most behind Manchester United from Premier League clubs looking to monetise the American market moving forward.
The English champions announced a merchandise collaboration with the WWE on 27 June ahead of their US summer tour.
As part of the agreement, Man City have been wearing shirts displaying the WWE logo on their players’ numbers during their pre-season games, while a collection of collaborative t-shirts has been on sale on both of their websites.
Joyce told Football Insider this approach will open the Premier League side up to new audiences as they look to capitalise on potential revenue streams in the US.

The CLV Group estimates there to be up to £860million on offer to European clubs in additional revenue ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the US, Canada and Mexico.
Joyce told Football Insider Man City could earn up to £26.8million in increased revenue by tapping into opportunities in the US market over the next two years, with a focus on digital propositions and connective content experiences.
Interest in the Premier League has soared in recent years as the most-watched league in the world continues to increase its global appeal.
There are estimated to be 36.5 million American football fans believed to be undecided about which European team they want to support – a key reason behind why Man City and nine of their fellow Premier League sides have taken part in US tours this summer.

The Premier League’s current broadcasting deal with NBC in America is worth £2billion, which is around 20 per cent of the league’s entire broadcast revenue.
It was revealed Man City’s game against Arsenal on 31 March – where the two sides played out a goalless draw – drew a record 2.6 million viewers across English and Spanish-speaking channels in the US.
Pep Guardiola’s side would go on to claim the Premier League trophy for a fourth season in a row after pipping Arsenal to the title.
