Exclusive: Man United green light Gabriele Biancheri transfer

Man United have given the green light for striker Gabriele Biancheri to go out on loan this month, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has trained with United’s first-team squad and also spent time with the Wales senior side under Craig Bellamy.

United have told Biancheri that he is free to find a loan club before the January window shuts.

Sources say a handful of EFL clubs have registered an interest in the rising star.

The Wales Under-21 international has been a prolific scorer at age-group level and has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 17 United Under-21s appearances this season.

Gabriele Biancheri set for January loan move

The striker joined Man United from Cardiff City in 2023 and has continued his bright development since joining the Red Devils.

Biancheri had been linked with a loan move away from Man United in the summer, but a departure never materialised.

As a result, the 19-year-old has continued to perform for the Red Devils’ academy, with his hat-trick against Tottenham’s Under 21s back in October a highlight.

Now, no matter who Man United choose to become their caretaker manager, Biancheri’s short-term future appears to be away from Old Trafford as he looks to make his professional debut.

However, it remains to be seen if anyone comes in for the forward over the coming weeks to take the youngster on loan.

How good has Biancheri been in Man United’s academy?

According to Fotmob on 8 January, Biancheri has been sensational when he is on the pitch for Man United’s academy.

In the Premier League 2 this season, he is averaging 0.89 goals and 0.67 assists per match, a stunning feat.

On top of this, the youngster is managing 6.03 touches in the opposition’s box per game and is completing 83.5 per cent of his passes.
