Exclusive: Man United were offered imminent West Ham teammates for £6m – they’re now worth £70m

Man United rejected the chance to sign both Mohammed Kudus and Ibrahim Osman for £6million each, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League could have snapped up the Ghanaians when they were offered to them by Danish club FC Nordsjaelland but they declined to take on the now high-value pair for what would now be considered inexpensive fees.

Both Kudus and Osman moved to Nordsjaelland after signing from Ghana’s esteemed Right To Dream Academy in 2018 and 2023 respectively.

Kudus has since moved from Dutch giants Ajax to West Ham United for a fee of £42million, and his value has subsequently soared to £50m-plus, while Osman is expected to fetch a fee as high as £18.5m.

As revealed by Football Insider (25 January), Osman has turned down offers from Brighton and Brentford in favour of a move to the Hammers, with terms between the player and club agreed.

Kudus has gone on to thrive in the Premier League at David Moyes’s side, having bagged six league goals and 12 overall across all competitions.

Osman has been touted as one of the most promising young wingers in Europe, with sources telling Football Insider that Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal had all registered interest in the 19-year-old.

Well-placed sources also told Football Insider (16 January) that Man United had a deal to sign Erling Haaland on a plate before he moved to RB Salzburg but missed the deadline to call his then-club Molde by one hour.
