Southampton will consider offers between £20-30million for Tyler Dibling amid interest from Newcastle, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that if the Saints are relegated, the 18-year-old's departure would be "inevitable" given the level of interest in him.

However, it is said a move to Man United is unlikely to appeal to the winger because he is keen to play regular first-team minutes, placing Newcastle in the driver's seat.

His current contract at Southampton is set to expire in 2027 and former Saints boss Russell Martin recently confirmed that talks over a new deal have stalled.

Dibling has become one of the most highly regarded young talents in the Premier League thanks to his performances despite his team's struggles.

He quickly established himself as a regular in the Southampton side, appearing in 15 of their 16 league games so far and having started ten of those.

As a result of the 18-year-old's on-field displays this season, there is thought to be no shortage of interest in him ahead of the January transfer window.

However, sources say a deal is more likely to take place come next summer as Southampton do not want to lose a key player mid-way through the season.

As things stand, they have taken just five points from their opening 16 games and sit bottom of the table, leading to Martin's early departure.

This has put clubs, including Newcastle, on high alert about Dibling's potential availability as they continue to keep an eye on his situation.

Newcastle's interest in Dibling comes as they look to strengthen their right-wing position, and sources say they have made it a priority ahead of upcoming windows.

Meanwhile, after the success of Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento, Eddie Howe's side are keen to develop more young English talent in their first team.
