Exclusive: Ruben Curley medical update at Stoke as Man United exit nears
Stoke City have resurrected a move for Manchester United midfielder Ruben Curley, sources have told Football Insider.
The player is now having his medical at the club ahead of a permanent move to the bet365 Stadium.
The Potters initially had an approach rejected earlier in the day, but they have since arranged tests, indicating progress toward securing the deal.
Curley is in the final months of his current contract, though United hold an option to extend it.
The midfielder has made seven appearances in Premier League 2 this season and featured once in the EFL Trophy for the Under-21s, registering one assist in all competitions.
With a medical now taking place, Stoke appear to be pushing ahead with their efforts to secure a deal.

Curley has made 41 appearances during his time at United’s academy, contributing three goals and four assists but has never made a senior appearance.
Primarily a central midfielder, he has also been deployed on the left flank and in an attacking midfield role.
Stoke currently sit 18th in the Championship, just five points above the relegation zone after an inconsistent first half of the season.
They suffered a setback earlier in the window when star striker Tom Cannon, who was on loan at the club, completed a permanent move to Sheffield United.
Robins’ side have managed just seven wins in 30 matches and are eager to strengthen their squad before the window closes.
Football Insider previously revealed that Stoke have submitted a bid for Wellington Phoenix striker Luke Supyk, another promising young talent.
Curley, who could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season, is now expected to make the move immediately the medical testing underway.
