Stoke City ace Jack Butland has told friends he is keen to join Bournemouth this summer, Football Insider understands.

Bournemouth's recruitment team have been keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old's recent Championship matches for Stoke, who are 16th and will remain in England's second tier next season.

A source close to Butland has told Football Insider the player is eager to return to the Premier League and is eager to join the south coast outfit.

Bournemouth could be in the market for two keepers this summer, with Asmir Begovic falling out of favour under Howe and Artur Boruc out of contract at the end of the season.

Stoke are ready to demand £15million for Butland, who has nine England caps and is proven in the Premier League.

The 6ft 4in giant stayed on with the Potters following their relegation and has started 42 of their 43 Championship matches this season, missing out for the first time in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough following the birth of his child.
