Exclusive: Tottenham land £3m+ windfall

Tottenham have earned more than £3million for competing in the Uefa Super Cup final, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs beat Manchester United in the Europa League final in May to set up the showdown against Champions League winners PSG on Wednesday (13 August).

Thomas Frank’s side took a 2-0 lead in Udine, Italy, before a late comeback from the French champions sent the game to penalties.

PSG won the shootout 4-3 to claim their fifth trophy of 2025 following misses from Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven and Mathys Tel.

Uefa documents have revealed both sides earned £3.4million for competing in the Uefa Super Cup final, while Luis Enrique’s side claimed an extra £900,000 after lifting the trophy.

Tottenham banked around £35million in prize money after winning the Europa League, with the latest windfall taking their earnings beyond £38million.

The north London giants are now gearing up for the start of the new Premier League campaign, where they will face Burnley in their season-opener on Saturday (16 August).
