Exclusive: West Brom in crunch talks after new contract offer tabled this month

West Brom starlet Rayhaan Tulloch remains in talks over a new deal despite speculation that negotiations had collapsed, Football Insider understands.

Reports have suggested that Tulloch’s personal demands meant that any new deal was unlikely, with the promising attacker set to become a free agent when his current terms expire in the summer.

However, a source at the Hawthorns has told Football Insider that discussions are continuing between club and player, with the 19-year-old open-minded about staying with the Baggies.

It is understood that West Brom made their first contract offer to Tulloch in November which was turned down and that the club only made their second contract offer earlier this month, with negotiations are still ongoing.

The versatile attacker, who can play on the wings or through the middle, has caught the eye of a number of big-name clubs across Europe, with Football Insider revealing that Rangers have registered their interest in his capture.

Tulloch is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at West Brom and he figured for 30 minutes for Slaven Bilic in the FA Cup win at West Ham last month.

The England youth international has made four first-team appearances for West Brom in the last two seasons and he has been in prolific form for the Baggies’ Under-23s this campaign, with nine goals and four assists in 14 Premier League Two games.

West Brom will be reluctant to lose Tulloch after seeing other young talents leave the club in the last year and talks are set to continue between both parties to try and find an agreement.

In other West Brom news, Darren Bent has been left raving over one Baggies star who used to tear his teams to pieces.
