Exclusive: Wilson Isidor to push for Sunderland transfer after Everton approach
Wilson Isidor may push to try and secure a move away from Sunderland at the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider.
The striker is unhappy with his lack of gametime at the Stadium of Light, and he may be ready to move and take on a new challenge if his situation hasn’t improved by the summer.
Everton launched an enquiry into Isidor’s availability in the recent January transfer window, but Sunderland were not willing to risk losing the 25-year-old in the middle of the season.
However, the Black Cats are looking to strengthen their group again in the summer in order to continue pushing forward, and that may serve as the final straw for Isidor.

Sunderland fans have already seen enough of Wilson Isidor
Brian Brobbey is currently firmly at the top of Sunderland’s striker pecking order in the eyes of Regis Le Bris, and that has seen minutes hard to come by for Isidor and Eliezer Mayenda of late.
The Mackems’ favoured 4-2-3-1 formation means there is heavy competition for just one starting spot at the top of the pitch, and Brobbey has now started in each of the last 11 Premier League games.
Isidor was handed a rare opportunity from the off during the 1-0 FA Cup victory away at Oxford United, but he did not make a big impact on the tie before he was withdrawn in the 64th minute.
His last goal came way back in October, and the fans have now decided that the writing is on the wall for him after they edged past the Championship strugglers.
The former Zenit St. Petersburg man played a huge role in Sunderland’s promotion back to the top flight last term, but the fanbase have already lost faith in his ability to be a threat to defences at the top level.

Isidor has managed just 64 minutes of league football since the start of 2026, and that looks set to see him angle for a move at the next possible opportunity.
Sunderland to push for Harry Wilson deal
Former Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that Sunderland have joined the race to sign Fulham winger Harry Wilson this summer.
The Wales international is set to become a free agent when his deal at Craven Cottage expires at the end of the season, and a potential move to Wearside could be on the cards.
Wilson has received interest from a whole host of Premier League clubs due to his contract situation, and Sunderland will know that they are likely to face a serious battle if they are to secure his signature.
The wideman is Fulham’s top scorer this season with eight league goals to his name so far, and it is expected that he will face no shortage of suitors when his contract runs down.
The Black Cats have thrown their hat into the ring according to Wyness, and will now try their best to convince Wilson that the Stadium of Light is the best place for him to continue his career.
