
Exclusive: Wrexham in talks to sign Ajax’s Sivert Mannsverk
Wrexham are in talks to sign Ajax defensive midfielder Sivert Mannsverk, sources have told Football Insider.
Ajax are open to letting the midfielder, 23, leave the club this summer, and Wrexham are prepared to pay up to £4million to agree a deal.
Mannsverk spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff, and now Wrexham are keen to bring the Norway Under-21 international back to Wales.
Mannsverk began his career in Norway, where his performances earned him the Ajax move, but he has only managed 18 appearances for the Dutch giants.
However, he impressed during his short spell in the Championship and Phil Parkinson is hopeful he can replicate his performances at the Stok Cae Ras.

Now, they have set their sights on Mannsverk who proved his worth at Cardiff and has been identified as an improvement on their current midfield options.
The midfielder has three years remaining on his contract at Ajax, but there is a growing feeling he will be allowed to leave the Dutch giants after failing to make his mark.

Liberato Cacace undergoing Stok Cae Ras medical

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 17 July that Liberato Cacace will undergo his Wrexham medical after a £4million deal was agreed with Empoli.
Cacace has been given the green light to finalise personal terms and undergo a medical with the Welsh club following Empoli‘s relegation last season.
He will become Wrexham’s new club record signing in a deal regarded as a big coup which will bring further experience to Parkinson’s side.
