Expert: ‘Billions’ of new eyes on Tottenham after source’s ‘huge’ reveal
Hosting the Champions League final could help Tottenham finally secure a stadium naming rights deal.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Football Insider revealed this week that Tottenham want to host the Champions League final after 2026.

The latest from Spurs sources is that the North Londoners are also open to staging the Europa League final, but chairman and co-owner Daniel Levy see UEFA’s top club competition as the ultimate prize.
Wenham is not surprised by this development.
“Tottenham built this stadium to host the biggest events in the world,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It is no surprise to me that we are looking to do that. There have been multiple reports that we want to host the Super Bowl at some point.
“So hosting both of those events would be huge for the venue and huge for Tottenham. Millions if not billions of eyes all on our stadium.
“It will help with securing sponsorship deals as well as just giving the club an upfront financial boost. Tottenham aren’t afraid to try and land big names and big events.
“So this comes as no surprise. I think 2026 may be a little early because I think the Champions League final is at Wembley in 2024, so maybe it would have to be a few years after that.”

UEFA has already announced that the 2023, 2024 and 2025 finals will be hosted at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium, London’s Wembley Stadium and Munich’s Allianz Arena respectively.
The stadium regularly hosts NFL games as well as heavyweight boxing clashes, and it is also in the running to host the 2026 Hockey World Cup final.
