Expert: Everton have done Tottenham a ‘huge favour’ amid Finch Farm claim
Everton have done Tottenham a “huge favour” by taking Dele Alli off their hands.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Alli, 25, has made six appearances for Everton since joining from Tottenham in January, all off the bench.

However, he played no part as his side beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Thursday (17 March).
He also missed Sunday’s (20 March) FA Cup loss v Crystal Palace because he is cup-tied.
Wenham is glad Spurs are free of Alli and his £150,000-per-week wages and says the problem is now for Everton to deal with at their Finch Farm training headquarters.
“I noticed Alli was an unused sub against Newcastle last week,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Tottenham look absolutely right to remove his £150,000-per-week wages from the books.
“He can’t even get a game for relegation-threatened Everton. They needed a goal and he couldn’t even get a cameo appearance.
“Lampard has seen Alli train and he’s realised what every Tottenham fan has known for the last 18-months.
“It’s the reason we let him go for nothing. I know Everton have this £40million figure they keep banging on about.
“For me, Tottenham were just happy to wash their hands of him because paying him that much money for another two years based on the form he has been in, it wasn’t an option.
“The fact Everton, despite their financial issues, have done us a huge favour.”

Alli joined Everton on January 31 after falling out of favour at Tottenham.
The same day, Sky Sports reported the midfielder could cost the Toffees up to £40million with the deal structured around performance-based add-ons.
In other news, door is “open” for Christian Eriksen to make sensational return to Tottenham.
