Expert: Everton need to fix one ‘big problem’ to unlock Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s ‘phenomenal’ best
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will find his best “phenomenal” form and fire Everton away from the relegation zone.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees striker’s form
The club confirmed on 16 December that Salomon Rondon’s deal – which was due to expire in the summer – had been terminated prematurely.

That decision leaves Frank Lampard with Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay as his only senior strikers as they prepare to resume their Premier League campaign just one point above the relegation zone.
Calvert-Lewin scored just once in four top-flight starts before the break while Maupay had found the net once in 10 appearances.
McManus is backing Calvert-Lewin to rediscover the form he found during the 2020-21 season.
“Calvert-Lewin is their man,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“He’s had a horrible time with injuries but we all know how good he is when he is fully fit and scoring goals.
“A few seasons ago he was phenomenal. You don’t just lose that overnight. If he can get back there, and I think he can, then Everton have nothing to worry about.
“He needs service and I’m not sure how much creativity is in that Everton team. That’s a big problem for them.
“Maupay has missed chances but Calvert-Lewin is a different class, for me. Get him in front of goal and he will score, I’m sure of that.”

Calvert-Lewin scored 16 goals in 33 outings during the 2020-21 season.
He also scored 15 in all competitions during the previous campaign.
