Expert: Gabriel Jesus ‘ahead of schedule’ at Arsenal after ‘amazing’ update
Gabriel Jesus is making “amazing” progress in his return from injury and could be back in contention for Arsenal early in March.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in injury and data analysis, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
Arsenal have had to cope without summer signing Jesus since the resumption of the Premier League in December, with the Brazilian struggling with a knee injury.

The 25-year-old suffered the setback in a World Cup group stage game with Brazil and has since undergone surgery on the problem.
However, Jesus provided a positive injury update via The Athletic on Monday (23 January) by suggesting he’ll be back on the pitch for Arsenal within five weeks.
Dinnery insists that Jesus’ target is “realistic” and a good indication that his recovery in north London is going exactly to plan.
“That prediction of five weeks puts his return around the beginning of March, which he’s looking on track to meet,” Dinnery told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“He’s arguably ahead of schedule at the moment, which is a good indication that his recovery process has been surprisingly smooth up until this point.
“These lines cannot be drawn in the sand, however – it’s never 100 per cent guaranteed.

“But certainly his progress up until this stage has been amazing.
“If he comes through his next set of protocols without any reaction, then by all means the beginning of March is more than realistic for Jesus.“
