Expert issues ‘huge’ update on Chelsea stars Reece James and Ben Chilwell
Chelsea will have both Reece James and Ben Chilwell back in contention to start when they host Fulham next week.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in injury and data analysis, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
Chelsea’s injury situation has been dire this season, with the Blues forced to launch an internal review of their medical department this month amid complaints from players.

James and Chilwell have both been involved in the lengthy list of sidelined players, with both players missing the World Cup after picking up major injuries in October.
But both defenders have been pictured back in training on the club’s official website this month as they prepare to make their return.
Dinnery believes both James and Chilwell will be “knocking on Graham Potter’s door” when the Blues are next in action.
“Both Reece James and Ben Chilwell have been involved in training this week and are very close to making a return,” Dinnery told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“With Chelsea not involved in the FA Cup this week, next time they’re in action both Chilwell and James will be knocking on Graham Potter’s door to try and force their way back into the lineup.
“So returning to training doesn’t necessarily mean they’re ready to play, but they’re extremely close to being back in contention.

“They both will bring great quality and having them back fit will be a huge boost to Chelsea.
“Then the conversations can hopefully move away from this injury crisis and shift to more positivity at Stamford Bridge.“
