Expert: Man United hit £30m jackpot after ‘exciting’ deal agreed
Man United are set to receive a minimum of £30million after agreeing a six-year deal with financial trading company Doo Group.
That is the opinion of finance expert Dr Dan Plumley, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the commercial benefits behind Man United’s latest global partnership.
Man United released an official statement last Tuesday (3 January) stating that they had agreed a multi-year deal with the online trading company.

The Red Devils recorded a £115.5million net loss for the financial year ending in June 2022, but continue to grow commercially with the club officially listing 24 global partners on their website.
Plumley believes the latest partnership with Singapore-based Doo Group is exciting not only because of the finances behind the deal, but because they can help grow Man United’s global brand.
“The main shirt sponsor will be the club’s highest-value ticket item, and then you downscale from there,” Plumley told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“Manchester United will expect to pick up around £5million-a-year as a ballpark figure for this deal over a six-year agreement.
“So they can easily get to £30million over the course of the deal, and it may even be higher than that.
“Not only is the value of the deal important, but also the company is a financial trading platform and a global business with offices in Singapore, United States, London, Australia and Dubai.

“Those connections around the world suit Man United as a global brand.
“As much as the fee is decent, the match-up between the company and the football club is also very exciting.“
