Expert on Tottenham signing Trevor Chalobah after update
There is “no chance” of Trevor Chalobah signing for Tottenham this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
According to the London Evening Standard (20 August), Chalobah has “concerns” about his playing time at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea chase a big-money deal for Wesley Fofana.

The same report claims Tottenham are mulling over a move for the defender.
Last season, there were reports that Tottenham may look to sign Romelu Lukaku after he fell out with Thomas Tuchel and Wenham told Football Insider at the time, “there is more chance of someone who is six feet under signing for us.”
Wenham feels exactly the same about Chalobah’s potential signing.
“This is another one, you can just use my Lukaku comments word for word,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There is no chance. As much as people like hypotheticals, we aren’t going to offload Tanganga who is the same age as him as well as club trained and everything that comes with that, to bring in Chalobah.
“For me, he isn’t better than Tanganga anyway, so, zero chance. Also, Tanganga was on the bench again against Wolves despite constant rumours.
“He was on the bench, Tottenham aren’t interested in this AC Milan loan offer.”

Tanganga has been heavily linked with a move away from Spurs this summer.
However, he has regularly featured on the bench for Spurs this season.
