Expert predicts when Djed Spence will sign for Tottenham as plan revealed
Djed Spence will sign for Tottenham in the next week before flying out to South Korea for the club’s first pre-season games.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
A recruitment source told Football Insider on 29 June that Tottenham are now only £1million apart from Middlesbrough’s valuation of Spence, 21.

Spurs have upped their bid and are now closer to the £20million price, including add-ons.
Wenham expects the deal to get done and claims Spence will be on the club’s flight to South Korea next week.
“Middlesbrough are battling hard to keep their prized asset, that’s fair enough,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s their only sellable asset so I have no problem with Middlesbrough wanting to get the best price for their best player.
“I’m sure a deal will be agreed in the coming days. Tottenham want him on that flight to Korea.
“Even if he doesn’t fly out straight away, it’s not hard to fly him out there on his own.
“I think the deal will be done in the next week. I have been confident all along and I stick to that. This deal will happen.”

Spence has enhanced his reputation over the last year while playing an instrumental role in Nottingham Forest’s successful promotion bid.
He made 40 league starts among 50 appearances in all competitions in 2021-22, and started all their playoff wins.
