Expert responds after Troy Parrott ‘talks’ development leaves Tottenham fans ‘upset’

Antonio Conte’s lack of contact with Tottenham striker Troy Parrott is no cause for concern.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

On 31 March, The Athletic reported Parrott, 20, will be loaned out again next season as he is not considered a future first-teamer.

It was also claimed the MK Dons loanee has had no contact with Antonio Conte since he was appointed as Spurs boss.

Some fans have been left “unhappy” but Wenham insists this is not an issue.

“This is exactly what I want, hopefully, he finds a Championship club who will take him,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He needs to step up another division. The fact he’s scoring winners for the Republic of Ireland men’s team tells me he needs to be a league higher.

“I saw some people who were unhappy about Conte not speaking to him.

“I mean, Troy is on a season-long loan in Milton Keynes. I’m not sure why Conte would need to talk to him.

“There were a few people upset about he’s supposedly being treated.

“He’s an MK Dons player. It’s not like he’s in non-league and he comes back to train at Tottenham through the week.

“He will come back in the summer and I’m sure Conte will speak to him then.”
