Expert shares ‘big’ Tottenham v Everton prediction after club suffers ‘massive blow’

Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies should both start for Tottenham when they face Everton this weekend.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Antonio Conte’s side welcomes Everton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening (15 October).

The Toffees’ arrive on the back of a defeat to Man United last time out (9 October).

Wenham is hoping for a straightforward Tottenham win with Anthony Gordon set to miss out for the visitors through suspension.

“This needs to be three points for us because there are more challenging games to come,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Everton are without Gordon and that’s a massive blow for them but they have really solidified at the back and I think it will be a far harder game than when we destroyed them last season.

“I fully expect us to win the fixture considering the players we now have available. Bryan Gil will want another cameo, we have paid the money for him so let’s try and get something out of him.

“I would like to see Ben Davies come back in because I thought he was good against Brighton. Sessegnon is having a bit of a renaissance and seems to be contributing so he can play while we rest Perisic and save him for Man United away.

“On the right, Doherty will come in for Royal, who is suspended. We need the points so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hojbjerg and Bentancur.

“Richarlison has to start against Everton and then Kane and Son with Kulusevski also getting 30 minutes so he is ready to go big against Man United.”
