Expert: Tottenham have ‘shut the door’ on Arsenal plans for Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka
Tottenham have stopped Arsenal from progressing this summer by beating them to fourth spot in the Premier League.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham prevented Arsenal from qualifying for the Champions League by beating Norwich 5-0 on Sunday (22 May).

Wenham insists this has ruined the Gunners’ plans to sign Gabriel Jesus and to possibly give Bukayo Saka a new deal.
“Arsenal’s team this season has really reminded me of the team we had under Poch,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Back when we had Kane, Mason, Townsend, Walker, all of these young, English players coming through at the same time.
“Their team has had a real Arsenal DNA to it this season which is something they haven’t had for a long time.
“If I was an Arsenal fan, I would be happy with what that club are doing.
“I think they have been given an unbelievable chance to get into the Champions League this season with no European football then going out of the cups very early.
“It was vital that we don’t let Arsenal build on this. If they had got top four then they would be signing players like Gabriel Jesus.
“They may have given Saka a new deal. We haven’t let them have this summer of progress, we shut the door on it.

“It stagnates the progress of this side. it means they won’t have that experience of playing in the Champions League, under the lights, against the biggest clubs in the world.
“It was important that we stop this positive development of the club. It weakens Arsenal and that is brilliant for us because the battles between us are always so, so tight.”
