Expert: Tottenham swoop for Wilfried Zaha now ‘makes a lot of sense’ after ‘big’ update
Tottenham could accelerate a summer move for Wilfried Zaha after an update on Richarlison’s fitness.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Sources told Football Insider earlier this week (13 December) that Tottenham are interested in signing the forward on a free transfer next summer.

The 30-year-old is out of contract at Selhurst Park at the end of the season with his long-term future up in the air as he has rejected a number of new deals.
Football.London reported last weekend (17 December) that Richarlison could now be out for up to five weeks with his latest injury.
When asked if this injury blow could force Spurs into making a move for Zaha, Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild, “Yeah, we could go for him earlier if the plan was to go for him in the summer.
“I also think we have a few players who could be used to sweeten the deal. Japhet Tanganga, Emerson Royal, these are guys we could offer to Palace as well as a smaller fee to get that deal done.
“Tottenham should be looking and that and I have said all along, this isn’t someone who is out of form. Zaha is in great form this season, he can play all across the attack and he counts as homegrown.
“It’s a no-brainer and with Richy now out, that’s a big loss, we could do with another attacker. Zaha wouldn’t have to move his whole life either, he can stay in London.
“This move makes a lot of sense.”

Zaha scored six goals and provided two assists in 13 top-flight games in the first part of the season.
The Ivory Coast international has 110 goal contributions in 291 Premier League appearances across his career.
In other news, a club is close to signing a Tottenham sensation and a 1 January move is expected.
