Expert: Tottenham to become ‘global force’ after ‘£400m’ news
Tottenham will secure its place as a global force for the next 20 years if a stadium naming rights deal is agreed with Google.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Monday (10 October) David Ornstein reported Tottenham are in “meaningful talks” with Google over a naming rights deal for their stadium.

Wenham claims the potential deal will allow Spurs to solidify a place as one of the world’s biggest football clubs.
“Tottenham have just announced a deal with Coca-Cola, we also have this deal with Nike until 2033,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“So if we can get, say, £400million from Google and the guarantee of another huge partner, we already have HP working with us as well.
“We are putting ourselves at the forefront of all major events going forward so if we can keep growing the club exponentially then that can only help when it comes to spending.
“Look at this summer, we signed Richarlison for £50million. We signed Ivan Perisic who came on a free but he will be on big wages.
“We will continue to spend and compete with the biggest clubs in this country. We still have English ownership which is very, very unusual in the Premier League.
“A deal like this means we can compete with those clubs who have alternative finance methods. I’m really excited and I think Google would be an outstanding company to partner up with.

“It would make us a global force and it really helps us. If we get £400million over 20 years then that puts us up there with the top eight clubs or top seven in world football for the next two decades.
“I’d be very, very happy to partner with Google and it would make the whole thing worth the wait.”
