Expert: Tottenham told to sign Clement Lenglet after extensive research
A deal that would see Clement Lenglet join Tottenham on a two-year loan deal should not be ruled out.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 2 June, Spanish outlet Esport3 reported Barcelona are working on a deal that would see Lenglet, 26, join Tottenham on a two-year loan deal.

The Catalan club need to remove some current players from their wage bill to facilitate the arrival of summer signings.
Wenham insists the deal “ticks a lot of boxes” for Tottenham as they look to strengthen their defence this summer.
“I don’t know too much about Clement Lenglet,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“On the back of seeing the reports I went and did a deeper dive on him.
“26, France international, he can cover centre-back in a three and left centre-back in a three.
“I would take him on a two-year loan, to be honest with you. It seems low-risk high reward.
“He is a guy Barca spent a lot of money on, he can cover two positions and a two-year loan means if he’s not good enough you can send him back.
“Barca are desperate to get rid of him but on paper, it ticks a lot of boxes for Spurs.

“The fact that he would be cover gives us another option. It would allow us to sell Davinson Sanchez or Joe Rodon and to bring in an experienced replacement for nothing.
“That allows us to invest in other areas of the team. I wouldn’t instantly rule that one out.”
