Fabio Carvalho told to reject West Ham offer after source’s reveal – pundit
Fabio Carvalho must be cautious if he decides to leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has urged Carvalho to choose his next move carefully.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Reds from Fulham last May, played just 342 minutes of Premier League action in what was a difficult debut season at Anfield.
A number of early enquiries over a potential loan move have been made, with Premier League trio West Ham United, Brentford and Burnley among those interested.
However, Football Insider understands that Carvalho harbours concerns over whether he would earn regular minutes during a temporary stay at any of those clubs.
Carvalho has already been told that he will not be part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans for the 2023-24 campaign, regardless of how pre-season goes.
Hutton stressed the importance on choosing the right style of play if the midfielder decides to leave on a loan basis.
“There’s no point in someone like Carvalho going to a team that plays long ball because he’s not going to suit him,” he told Football Insider.

“But if he goes to somewhere and wants to get the ball and wants to pass and move and he’s playing regularly, that’s how you become a better player.
“You want to know hopefully within the future, if everything goes, well, there’s a pathway from Liverpool because if not, then there’s no point.”
