Fabio Paratici: Tottenham chief is tracking two ‘brilliant’ players after Gold update – pundit
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Djed Spence and Brennan Johnson after Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici watched the Nottingham Forest duo on Sunday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the “brilliant” young duo have “big futures” ahead of them.
Johnson, 20, and Spence, 21, starred on Sunday as Nottingham Forest thrashed FA Cup holders Leicester City 4-1 at the City Ground.
According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold (6 February), Paratici was in attendance for the FA Cup clash to run the rule over the pair.
Johnson has starred for Steve Cooper’s side this season after a successful loan spell at Lincoln City last term.
On the other hand, Spence is impressing at the City Ground while on a season-long loan spell from Middlesbrough.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the duo, Robinson said: “Two very exciting young players.
“I suspect Spurs will have competition from a lot of clubs.
“I’m sure Paratici was one of many sporting directors, mangers, scouts and recruitment officers at the game watching those two players because they’ve got a big future ahead of them.
“They were both brilliant again at the weekend. It won’t be easy to sign them. There will be a lot of competition in the summer.”

A revealed by Football Insider (3 February), Brentford and Leeds United are also interested in signing Johnson this summer.
He has 18 months left on his contract.
In other news, a pundit has claimed Tottenham fans should be thrilled by what he’s ‘heard’ from Harry Kane.
