Pundit: Kane has undergone an operation and selling him for £130m is 'incredible' business for Tottenham
Paul Robinson has suggested Tottenham should sell Harry Kane for £130million due to his recent injury record.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Robinson bemoaned the talisman's inability to remain fit for a whole season while at Spurs.
As quoted by Sky Sports on Saturday (7th August), Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed his interest in Kane.
The broadcaster claim that Tottenham value the England man in excess of £120million.
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo revealed he was planning crunch talks with the 28-year-old striker this week.
Kane has suffered a number of injuries in recent years which have left him sidelined for extended periods.
Robinson believes that these problems mean that Kane's departure is something Tottenham should consider.
He told Football Insider's Dylan Childs: “We know that he’s got issues with his ankles, we know that he had a hamstring operation last year.
“We know that he wants to go, but £130million is a fantastic amount of money for a 28-year-old who hasn’t completed four seasons.
“However, his stats stack up even though he rarely plays a full season. If you put him into that Manchester City side it’s an incredible set-up.
“I think if Manchester City are willing to pay £130million for him and he is willing to go, then you almost have to let him go.
"There’s nowhere else he can go. Everyone else is in deep financial trouble.”
Kane has missed 30 games in the last five seasons through ankle injuries alone.
