Alfredo Morelos is "edging closer" to a sensational £11million move from Rangers to Chinese club Beijing Renhe, according to a report. Gers fans blog Four Lads Had a Dream, which has been a reliable source of news surrounding the club in recent months and has broken stories before the established media, claimed in a Twitter update on Friday afternoon that the Colombian striker is on the verge of a mega-money transfer. In a detailed dispatch on their personal Twitter account following pleas from supporters for information about Morelos, the bloggers reported that Beijing Rehne are "refusing to take no for an answer" after the Ibrox giants rejected a series of formal bids. Four Lads Had a Dream report that the 21-year-old has not yet agreed a contract with the Chinese outfit but talks are progressing quickly on a sale that would fetch a club-record fee of £11million.

This comes after the Scottish Sun reported earlier today (Friday) that the cash-rich Chinese outfit have upped their previous offer by £1million to £9million for Morelos in an attempt to get a deal done by the end of the month.
It is reported that Rangers have rejected what was a fourth official bid for Morelos, who, as revealed by Football Insider this week, is also to be offered a jawdropping contract worth in the region of £38,000-a-week after tax.
But the Four Lads Had a Dream update suggests that the Light Blues are now set to sanction a stunning deal before the China transfer window shuts on 28 February.
Morelos, who has scored 15 goals from 30 appearances this season, is among the the lowest earners in the Rangers side and, although the club have indicated they could open talks over a new deal, they would be unable to get near the figures on offer from Beijing Renhe.
Football Insider Verdict:
This has now reached the point where Rangers should take the money and run. Morelos is a promising player and could eventually develop into a very good one, but £11million for such a raw talent is a jawdropping sum. Moreover, it would also smash the club's record sale, which is the £9million from Tottenham in January 2008 for right-back Allan Hutton. If Mark Allen can secure £11million for Morelos, it should fill fans with hope that he is a negotiator who knows what he is doing.
