Everton are willing to sell Burnley target Jonjoe Kenny permanently this month, Football Insider understands.

A loan move is regarded as more likely for the 23-year-old in the current window.

But an Everton source has told Football Insider that the club would let Kenny go for good if their £7million asking price is met.

It has been a frustrating campaign for the former England Under-21 international after his impression spell on loan at Schalke last term.

Kenny was a key man at the Bundesliga giants and had hoped to establish himself at his hometown club upon his return.

But he has not started a single Premier League match this term even though club captain and first choice right-back Seamus Coleman has been half the matches due to injury.

Carlo Ancelotti has instead preferred using centre-back Mason Holgate and even Alex Iwobi on the right side of the defence.

This comes after Kenny made 31 starts among 34 appearances in all competitions for Schalke last season.

Back at Everton, the defender has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League this season as well as three starts in the EFL Cup when Ancelotti played a weakened team.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche

Burnley are in the market for a new right-back after the takeover of the club was completed.

Manager Dyche is a longstanding admirer of Kenny, a product of the fabled Everton academy.
