Tottenham have agreed to pay Tanguy Ndombele more than £5million to terminate his contract 12 months early, sources have told Football Insider

Spurs have been in negotiations with the French midfielder for the past few months over a settlement fee to bring his time in north London to a premature end.

Sources say an agreement is now in place over a pay-off for one of the club’s top earners, with the 27-year-old’s contract running until June 2025 and worth around £200,000-a-week.

Tottenham are expected to make an announcement soon about his departure from the club.

Tottenham agree Tanguy Ndombele pay-off after failed move

The Frenchman failed to make much of an impression with the Turkish club after registering just one assist in 26 appearances.

It’s been a miserable time overall for Ndombele since making his big-money £63million move to Tottenham from Lyon in 2019, with his last outing for the club coming in January 2022.

The midfielder has only made 91 appearances for Spurs over the past five years, with 75 of those games coming in his first two seasons in north London.

Tottenham chiefs have now agreed a deal to bring his time at the club to an end following months of negotiations over a settlement fee.

There are expected to be plenty of changes behind the scenes at Spurs this summer following Postecoglou’s scathing comments around the “rebuild” of his side.
