A stunning 355 goals in 581 games for the Ibrox giants makes McCoist not only the club’s greatest ever goalscorer but also sees him having made more appearances for the Gers than everyone but John Greig and Sandy Jardine.
McCoist was quite simply a goal machine for Rangers and nobody seemed to enjoy scoring against Celtic quite like Super Ally.
McCoist’s goalscoring saw him win two European Golden Boots – one of which came in a season he broke his leg and missed a chunk of game time.
A true poacher who came alive in the penalty area, McCoist was one of the greatest goalscorers British football has ever seen.
