No place for Gazza and Cooper in five greatest-ever Rangers players

2. Brian Laudrup

The man known to Rangers fans simply as God is without question the best foreign player to have played in Scotland.

Anyone who watched Laudrup play for the Ibrox giants could help but come away mesmerised by the Dane’s ability and how easy he made everything look.

At his peak, Brian was every bit as good as his older brother Michael and his performance in the 5-1 Scottish Cup final win over Hearts is still one of the greatest performances Hampden has ever seen – and Hampden is a ground which has hosted arguably the best European Cup final in history and, officially, the best Champions League goal in history.

Laudrup’s man of the match award in that cup win over Hearts spoke volumes how good he was after walking away with it despite Gordon Durie scoring a hat-trick.
